Senior Staff Engineer Next Generation Networks:

Summary
We are currently seeking a Senior Staff Engineerto work in with our Innovation Labs team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in applications and device management, protocols is required, especially with regards to application to mobile communication systems. Hands on experience in designing and developing Android and/or iOS applications, implementing mobile applications and/or device management protocols, OS drivers and use of virtualization technologies is desirable. Knowledge and familiarity of OMA device management and FOTA protocols and specifications is a strong plus. The candidate is expected to work both independently and in a small team setting, developing innovative architectures, protocols or solutions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform analysis of Linux OS security and policy management functions, cloud server virtualization, and mobile device management protocols, pose solutions to implement innovations, and present findings to team members.
- Design, implementation, debug and test of OS drivers, cloud server virtualization, device management protocols, and mobile applications (Android) to illustrate key system concepts and innovations through the development of proof of concept demonstration and product prototype systems.
- Determine, describe and advocate for forward looking technical solutions for the implementation of Linux OS enhancements, device management, policy enforcement and virtualization technologies in mobile systems.
- Participate in team meetings, solicit input for improvements and disseminate information, including giving technical talks
- Supervisory roles of one to three team members/interns potentially.
Qualifications
- Six to Ten years prior experience in related field
- Master’s or PhD in Computer Science or Engineering required.
- Strong experience in modifying and developing drivers for Linux and Android OS, bootloader, and policy control mechanisms.
- Strong experience in Cloud server virtualization technologies.
- Strong experience in design and implementation of enhanced mobile device management functions on mobile platforms including protocols between device and network management server.
- Experience with mobile applications design and development (Android/iOS).
- Experience in analyzing and designing embedded and/or distributed system architectures to implement advanced security processing functions. – Mobile device management protocols (OMA DM, FOTA) and mobile applications management protocols.
- Cloud virtualization technologies.
- Familiarity with principles of wireless communication systems, security protocols (AKA, EAP, IPsec, TLS etc.), and cryptographic algorithms desirable.
- Policy management frameworks.
- Mobile virtualization technologies.
